Kirk Johnson, Ph.D.

Director of Coaching for Travel Soccer, Coach 2009 Boys Samba and Coach 2010 Girls Samba

A recent Ph.D. recipient, Kirk joined RSC in 2017 as our Director of Coaching – Boys Travel and since last year has served as Director of Coaching for the entire travel program. In that capacity, he oversees the trainers and teams for the travel program, from the U7 Futures Program on up. Among other things, Kirk strives ensure a consistent approach to training across age groups and competitive levels. He will again serve as the Trainer for our 2009 Boys Samba team and this year will also train the 2010 Girls Samba team.

Kirk brings vast, high quality experience as a player and coach to Radnor. After being selected the Gatorade Pennsylvania Player of the Year and a High School All American in 2000, he went on to become an All American at Syracuse University. He became the sixth all-time leading goal scorer and one of only seven players in the history of Syracuse to average more than .25 assists per game. He was elected to the FC Delco Hall of Fame in 2005.

Since returning to coach at FC Delco, he has held numerous coaching positions, including as Coach of its Academy, Head Coach for Boys Teams from U9 to U19, and Assistant Director of Coaching. He had primary responsibility for creating Continental FC’s soccer curriculum for its U8 - U12 Boys Program. He has also served as Head Soccer Coach at Downingtown East High School and as an Assistant Coach at West Chester University.
