Radnor Travel Soccer
Travel Soccer Information
Travel soccer is a more competitive soccer experience that promotes long-term development of players with an emphasis on fundamental soccer skills. The travel program is intended for soccer players born in 2009 and before, many of whom have an interest in pursuing college soccer.
Given the competitive nature of the program, children must try out and be selected for a position on a travel team. Roster spots may be limited, and some children who tryout may not be offered a position on a travel team.
During the fall season, travel teams typically practice two evenings per week, and play games on the weekends, with about half the games played at home and about half the games played away. Many travel teams will play in two or more tournaments, often over a late August weekend and usually over Columbus Day weekend. Some travel teams continue to practice and compete to varying degrees through the winter and spring.
