Alan Mezger
Director of Soccer
Alan has coached soccer for 24 years and has managed and directed soccer clubs for almost a decade. He has deep roots in our community; his father was a former President of Radnor Soccer Club. Alan first played soccer with RSC, as a player in the rec league and in travel soccer before moving on to play for FC Delco and the Radnor High School team.
He served as Head Coach of the varsity boys Radnor High School soccer team from 1999-2002, leading the program to a 64-21-9 record. Radnor captured the school's first ever district title in 2000 and another in 2002. The team competed in three consecutive PIAA state playoffs.
Alan’s success at RHS led to offers to coach at Villanova University and the FC Delco soccer club. A 1996 Villanova graduate, he joined the Villanova men's soccer staff as an assistant coach in 2003. As a Head Coach at FC Delco from 2000 to 2003, Alan led his team to state, regional and national titles each year. His overall record with the club in that span was 55-3-4 and includes 3 USYSA national championships as head coach, 5 USYSA regional titles, countless EPYSA state titles. He was later promoted to Director of the Club.
Alan has taught Social Studies at Radnor High School for the last 15 years. He has two children and resides in Conshohocken, PA.
Alan was honored as an inductee into the Radnor High School Soccer Hall of Fame in 2018.
